  3. This is a file containing sounds from the Alien movies and other various sources.  It replaces the standard sound file in Marathon.

  11. This is simply a Marathon Demo game saved at the first pattern buffer on level 1.  It was done while playing the “Total Carnage” difficulty level and includes a few enhancements made by using Eggert's "Marathon Cheat 1.1".  Good if you can’t make it there alive by yourself!

  35. Flight Commander 2 Demo is a demo version of a flight combat game The player controls a squadron of aircraft for certain missions in a campaign.  However, this game is not a ‘simulator’ game, but instead a computerized board-like game.  The demo version is very limited.

  47. This file is a collection of Marathon demos captured during the Marathon tournament at MacWorld San Francisco in January, 1995. There are 10 files and each demo is executable.

  49. Map Level 35 Patcher

  51. This patches the network level  and gives it a very different feel without ruining the excellent settings of that particular level. The map was modified using Mia 0.6  and you need a virgin copy of the map file that comes with the commercial version of Marathon to use the patch.

  59. Marathon Brutal Sounds makes the regular Marathon sounds louder and more brutal.  It uses remixed and distorted sounds from the original game.  Other options include multiple possible sounds for the same effect.

  95. Marathon Prefs Delete is a Macintosh utility which, when executed, will delete the Marathon preferences. This allows the user to begin a new game when the old preferences become corrupt.

This is a patch for the Marathon Demo.  It patches the "Sounds" file and gives you some new sounds, as well as some altered ones.  The new sounds include the SSM Rocket Launcher fire, the SSM Rocket explosion, the alien growl sounds, and the Alien Weapon fire.  The altered sounds include the Assault Rifle fire, the Grenade Launcher explosion, and the handgun fire.
